Manipal Hospitals will set up a multi-specialty 350-bed hospital in Nagpur, the hospital network said, after it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Maharashtra government. With an investment of about ₹700 crore, it is expected to create about 3,000 new jobs, it added.
The MoU was signed in Mumbai and the Maharashtra government has promised to facilitate all permits, approvals and fiscal incentives necessary to complete this project in a time bound manner, a note from the hospital said. The hospital is expected to start in 2029, providing medical services for Nagpur and nearby residents.
Dilip Jose, Manipal Hospitals Managing Director and Chief Executive, said, the expansion aligns with its vision to make advanced medical care accessible to all. “The new facility in Nagpur will bring high-quality, multidisciplinary healthcare closer to communities that need it most.” The new hospital will offer specialized services including cardiology, neurology, orthopedics and oncology, among others.
