Dublin was the very first European city I ever traveled to back in 2010, and it will always hold a special place in my heart for so many reasons. There’s something about this city, the charm, the coziness, the history, the warmth of the people that makes you want to come back again and again.
If you’re planning a trip, save this guide for my favorite places to stay, eat, drink, and wander in Dublin.

Where to Stay in Dublin
The Merrion Hotel
I truly felt like royalty staying at The Merrion Hotel, right in the heart of Dublin. I stayed in a Junior Suite overlooking the government buildings, and waking up to that view felt surreal.
This hotel is iconic. It’s made up of restored Georgian townhouses, and the architecture alone is worth experiencing. There’s a quiet elegance to it—timeless, refined, and deeply Irish.
It’s easily one of the best places to stay in Dublin if you want something central, luxurious, and unforgettable.

Clontarf Castle
Set just outside the city, Clontarf Castle Hotel is the perfect blend of historic charm and modern luxury. Dating back to 1837, the castle has been beautifully restored with stylish interiors while still preserving its original character. It’s an ideal stay if you want a castle experience without venturing far from Dublin, the rooms are sleek and comfortable, and the cozy restaurant and bar make it especially inviting after a day exploring the city.
