Halloween is approaching and I’m so excited to share our Hotel Transylvania Halloween Movie Party with you!
There’s nothing my kids and I love better than a good movie night on Halloween – before or after trick or treating. And the monster themed, fun-filled HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA 3 is the ideal movie for a Halloween party!
A Hotel Transylvania Halloween Movie Party – The Entertainment

The value added content includes some cute crafts, monster recipes, make-up tutorials, funky tunes and fang-tastic music created for the film by Nick Jonas, Tiesto, Eric Nam and Jonas Blue featuring Joe Jonas in five super cool lyric videos, plus a bonus tune from Dennis!

A Hotel Transylvania Halloween Movie Party – The Decor

The balloons garland is such an easy decor piece, and despite adding the wow factor to any blank wall, it only took us (two people) about 1 hour to assemble, from blowing up the balloons to hanging the garland on the wall. Obviously, if you have more help you can cut the time considerably.
A Hotel Transylvania Halloween Movie Party – The DIY Halloween Costumes
Of course, no Halloween party is complete without costumes! So we turned to the movie characters for inspiration to create Winnie and Dennis costumes for our party.
DIY Winnie Halloween Costume
Materials:
* white heat transfer vinyl
* pink long sleep t-shirt
* scissors or cutter and mat
* faux fur in beige color
* hot glue gun
* black elastic
* craft wire
* pliers
* headband
* 2 white pearls
* pencil
* pink felt
* black choker necklace
* metal studs
* Velcro
* jewelry hoop

Instructions:
1) Ear headbands: Trace the outer ear template fours times onto the underside of your faux fur fabric and cut. Trace and cut the inner ear onto pink felt twice using the template provided.
2) Loop the craft wire as shown, making it slightly smaller than the ear width. Hot glue the wire to the underside of one of the ears.
3) Hot glue the other ear on top of the wire to sandwich it between the two parts. Make sure to hot glue the edges, pulling the fur together to hide the side seams. Repeat for your other ear.
4) Hot glue the pink felt inner ear piece onto the center of each ear piece.
5) Once you have a set of ears, simply twist the craft wire onto your headband as tightly as possible, using pliers to secure the ends and tuck them into the ears so they won’t be sharp or visible. Hot glue a white pearl on top of each ear. Bend and shape the ear to make it more realistic.

8) Make a small incision onto the front of the choker and insert the metal hoop through.
9) Winnie’s cuffs: Cut a small rectangle of faux fur, then hot glue Velcro pieces to each end.
10) Winnie’s t-shirt: Print and cut the skull template onto white paper. Use this template to trace the skull onto your white heat transfer vinyl. Cut and use the vinyl manufacturer’s instructions to transfer your cut design onto the front of the pink t-shirt.

DIY Winnie’s Make-Up:
1) Start applying dark eye-shadow as shown to form the contours of the eyes and forehead.
2) Fill in the area with dark and light brown shadow, all the way from forehead to the corner of the eyes.
3) Add a light brown eye shadow to upper eyelid, and a darker shadow to the lid socket.
4) Draw a wolf’s nose outline as shown using the black eyeliner.
5) Fill in the entire nose area in black, then add a little light brown eye-shadow to the outer edges of the nose.
