Styling a DIY Mimosa Bar: with Recipes and Free Printables - BirdsParty.com

Brunch is always more fun when funky drinks are involved, don’t you think?!

And for Easter brunch, a Mimosa Bar is ideal to suit all – The healthy folks, the moms, the kids (minus the champers ‘course..), the dads and the cocktail lovers like moi.

I spent my childhood in Rio, and over there juices are sacred. It’s always hot and naturally, fridges are always full of homemade juices; 3 or more tropical fruit flavors at a time. All made from the pure fruits, water and sugar. They’re not that hard to make and taste beyond amazing!

And for a Mimosa bar the best idea is to stick to natural! The flavor tastes soooo much better, honestly. You’ll thank me later 😉

So I suggest making it the night before the brunch if you prefer, and storing in the carafes with a plastic film on top.

Substitute sugar for Agave syrup, succralose or Stevia if you prefer.

Orange Juice Recipe – Natural, Fresh and Homemade:

If you haven’t got a juicer, you can make it in a blender. And if your blender has a filter in the center, even better! If not, just use a strainer with a fine mesh sieve after.

Cut the oranges (tangerine, grapefruit or even lemon works great too!) in quarter segments. Remove the skin and seeds, and as much as you can of the white pith (bitter). Place the segments inside the blender or blender filter. Add the water and sweetener of choice and mix. Taste and adjust sweetness. Strain. Pour into a glass jar or carafe and chill.

Red Berries Juice Recipe – Natural, Fresh and Homemade:

Blend red berries of choice with water and sweetener of choice to taste. Taste and adjust sweetness. Strain. Pour into a glass jar or carafe and chill. I also use frozen berries if fresh are no available or not in season.

Melon and Peach Juice Recipe – Natural Fresh and Homemade:

Peel the skin off one honeydew melon, and remove seeds. Wash the peaches (or nectarines work well too ) and cut in half to remove seeds. Blend all in a blender with water and sweetener. Taste and adjust sweetness. Strain. Pour into a glass jar or carafe and chill.

But by all means try other fruit flavor combinations too. I’d love to hear you faves in the comments! Please share 🙂

Oh, and save some of the fruit to add to the glasses. And of course, serve the champagne chilled on the side so folks can make their own mimosa mixes at brunch. YUM!
