Vijayawada: Minister Nara Lokesh said that the cadre is the strength of the Telugu Desam and he will take responsibility for their welfare. “They worked hard for the party and I will support their families like an elder son,”. Lokesh said as he started meeting activists in the tour of his constituency to directly understand and resolve their problems.

The minister has now decided to meet activists directly at his residence in Undavalli and support them. In this context, Lokesh met family members of the TD president of Rompicharla Mandal in Palnadu district and former MPP Venna Balakoti Reddy. Reddy was murdered by YSRC goons.

Lokesh, who met the late Reddy’s wife Venna Nagendramma and Reddy’s brother’s sons Venna Narasimha Reddy and Venna Ramakrishna Reddy, inquired about their problems. He spoke about the background of the murder and Nagendramma’s health condition.

On this occasion, Reddy family members appealed to Lokesh to take steps to ensure that the accused in the murder case, who are roaming freely, should be punished severely by conducting a full investigation into the case. They brought to the attention of the minister that they have suffered a lot financially, that the employment guarantee and housing construction bills are pending, and that the house they are living in is mortgaged.

Lokesh assured that he will support the Reddy family for the rest of his life. He assured that he would pay the pending bills and release the house from mortgage on behalf of the party. He said that steps will be taken to ensure that the accused in the murder case are severely punished. He gave them courage and said that he will take responsibility for the family like an elder son.

Reddy’s family members thanked Lokesh for standing by them.
