This post is in partnership with the new Peter Rabbit movie, but all opinions are my own.
Spring is ’round the corner, and if you need a cute party theme for your child’s birthday, for a baby shower or Easter celebration, then this PETER RABBIT party will tick all the boxes!
My kids and I are huge fans of the Beatrix Potter books, so it was a dream come true to be able to capture the essence of Peter Rabbit in a fun and whimsical party!
The movie shows the cheeky and mischievous side of Peter Rabbit, with lots of tongue-in-cheek humor, so as you can imagine it really appeals to kids! 😁
Check out the fun and easy details to re-create this party at home!

Peter Rabbit Party Styling and DIY Decor
For the styling of this party, I tried to capture the vibrant, whimsical essence of the Peter Rabbit movie, combined with the nostalgia of the original Beatrix Potter books. We used blue as our main color with pops of yellow, green and orange.
For the main table, I lined it with wrapping paper for an easy and practical tabletop covering.
Typical Peter! 😊
For this DIY, simply cut out a Peter rabbit image (you can buy them online) and stick it into a flower pot, easy!
For each place setting I used faux turf as place-mats, with cute and colorful disposable paper plates, napkins and cute party cups alongside them.
For the straws, I used a Peter Rabbit cupcake topper and added one of our free printable ‘dig in’ straw flags for the fun and whimsical touch!

Each child also had a potted carrot and chocolate cupcake, decorated with a veggie topper at their place setting. These cupcakes were a hit and also doubled as table decor. Win, win!
To complete the festive look, nothing better than some colorful hanging honeycomb decorations over the party table to add the wow factor!
Peter Rabbit Inspired Free Party Printables
Peter Rabbit is synonymous with vegetables and gardens, so I decided to create a cute veggie printable design to use throughout the party.
This party printable kit includes:
* Peter Rabbit’s blue jacket in two sizes (use as table decor, gift tags, toppers etc)
* vegetable seed packets
* printable vegetable toppers
* “dig in” straw flags
* printable buffet cards

To complete the paper decorations, I bought some cute Peter Rabbit toppers that I used as tableware decorations, straws toppers and table decor throughout.
Peter Rabbit Party Food
In keeping with the garden theme of the party, we had to serve flowerpot cupcakes!
These cupcakes look so whimsical and look like real flowerpots, but are in fact filled with tasty homemade carrot cupcakes (store-bought works too), chocolate frosting and topped with crushed black chocolate cookies to emulate the soil. Serve them alongside a cute wooden fork and let your guests dig in!
To complete the party food table and since this party celebrates the release of the new Peter Rabbit movie, we also served ‘Rabbit Tails Popcorn’.
To make the popcorn, simply drizzle salted popcorn with a little white chocolate colored blue to match Peter Rabbit’s coat color. Mix it in and add some blue chocolate candy to the mix. YUM!

My cheeky kids loved these so much as you can see, and my daughter said they really looked like rabbit tails, so you know you’re onto a winner! 😉
To complete your party food buffet, you could also serve some carrot and orange juice, and a tray of Peter Rabbit’s favorite veggies with a tasty yogurt dip!

Peter Rabbit Party Activities and Favors
No spring garden party is complete without a pit stop at the potting shed, right?!
So I created a little ‘potting shed’ table for the kids to amuse themselves painting and decorating flowerpots, and then planting their own vegetable seeds.
This is such a fun activity for kids at any spring or Easter party, and their finished potted plants can be taken home as party favors. Easy for the hostess too! 😉

I covered the table with wrapping paper again to match our party colors, and filled it with mini clay pots, washi tape, paint pots, paint brushes, seed packets and soil. I also added some popsicle sticks and pens so the kids could label their potted plants. It was a hit with them!
It’s a good idea to provide more disposable paper plates so each child has their own personal space to work in, and it contains the mess (a little). 😉
This seed planting and flowerpot decorating activity is perfect for kids, but would equally be suited to a spring baby shower!

I hope you’ve enjoyed the ideas and feel inspired for your own Peter Rabbit parties and celebrations!
