Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor criticised Bihar CM Nitish Kumar at a public rally in Vaishali, Bihar, for not attending the 10th Niti Aayog Governing Council meeting on May 24, 2025, attended by CMs and Lt. Governors from 24 states and 7 UTs.

Kishor claimed Kumar’s absence from the development-focused meeting shows he is mentally and medically unfit, noting that while police and teaching candidates must pass medical tests, no such requirement exists for the CM.

He further alleged Kumar skipped the Niti Aayog meeting but attended an NDA CMs’ meeting in Delhi to negotiate more seats for the upcoming Bihar election in October or November 2025. The NDA, led by Kumar, currently governs Bihar, with RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav leading the opposition.
