Time to Refresh The Master Bathroom.  If you are like me you get used to something and don’t realize you’ve kept it the same way for way too long.  I love to switch out the vignettes all over the house, but the bathroom just seemed to stay the same.  Today was the day to switch things around a bit.

This is how my bathroom vanity has looked for a while.  I love it, but it’s time for a change.

On this side of the vanity, I had a small tray with a couple of my favorite colognes, an orchid, makeup brushes, and a candle.  Clutter free, and simple.  I like that it doesn’t take up a ton of space.

This side of the counter had a soap dispenser, clock, and tissue holder.

I wanted something a little more glamorous for a change.  I switched out some accessories in the hall bathroom and created a new look.

I have a white and black set of these bathroom accessories.  I’ve been using the white and had the black in the hall bathroom.  I just switched them out for starters.

Next,I swapped out the orchid with some fun bud stems in a pretty wicker-clad vase.

I grabbed a gold tray out of my stash and then shopped my closet for a few accessories that I’ve been using in my primping area—a small perfume bottle and a pretty black box with a leopard on top. I placed my makeup brushes in the black water glass, and I switched the crystal clock for a black and gold one.

I placed the candle and the black soap dispenser on the tray and switched out the black tissue box for the white one.

All of my previous white accessories went into the hall bathroom for a new look there.

This only took a few minutes and gave me something new to see when I went into the bathroom.

A change in accessories is always refreshing.  The addition of the darker accessories and gold continues the look and feel of the painting.
